Alan Broadbent is a Grammy Award–winning jazz pianist, arranger, and composer, celebrated for his lyrical touch, harmonic sophistication, and deeply expressive style. Born in Auckland, New Zealand, he moved to the United States to study at Berklee College of Music before establishing himself as a sought-after accompanist and collaborator with jazz greats such as Chet Baker, Charlie Haden, and Irene Kral. Over his distinguished career, Broadbent has worked as a pianist and arranger for Natalie Cole, Diana Krall, and the Woody Herman Orchestra, while also leading his own acclaimed trios and recording extensively. Renowned for his elegant balance of classical sensitivity and jazz improvisation, he has become one of the most respected and versatile figures in contemporary jazz.
