Ukrainian Classical Ballet

Founded in Kyiv in 2017, the Ukrainian Classical Ballet follows the traditions and essence of the purest classical ballet, making them a feast for the senses with the charm of their costumes and the showiness of their decorations; generating a fascinating balance with the perfection of its lines and the sobriety of its choreographies. With the best Ukrainian dancers directed by Artistic Director Ivan Zhuravlev, the company recreates, with singular mastery, the key works of universal ballet.

Since that time, the ballet company had performed more than 500 successful performances. The main goal of the ballet company is to unite the best and most talented dancers of the leading Ukrainian theaters and to present the best of classical ballet art to fans and lovers of ballet at home and abroad.

The Ukrainian Classical Ballet makes each performance a unique experience thanks to a cast of the best and most famous solo dancers (including star soloists of the National Opera of Ukraine, holders of honorary titles of Honored Artists of Ukraine Olga Golitsya and Jan Vaňa), as well as the original scenography, costumes, video projection, and other special effects.

The repertoire includes practically all of Marius Petipa’s major, completed works such as “Don Quichotte,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “Swan Lake,” but also other productions such as e.g. B. “The Nutcracker,” “La Sylphide,” “Cinderella,” “Giselle,” “Carmen,” “Scheherazade,” “Zorba the Greek.”

With this broad repertoire, Ukrainian Classical Ballet celebrated its success worldwide, in Germany, Italy, France, Poland, Croatia, Romania, China, Austria, Scandinavia, and Switzerland.
